Our Legacy: Built on Quality, Expanded by Demand
In 1979, Bill Russell founded Russell Painting Company in Richmond, Indiana. He built the business on a simple foundation: deliver superior craftsmanship, operate with absolute integrity, and build lasting relationships with every customer.
His sons, Eric and Chad, grew up on those job sites. They learned the trade from the ground up by working alongside the crews during their high school and college breaks. Eric went on to earn a business degree from Indiana University. In 1993, he partnered with his father to open a highly successful Indianapolis branch of the family business. Eric officially took ownership of the Indianapolis operations in 2006, while Chad successfully led the original Richmond location.
Over the decades, the Russell brothers noticed a growing demand from their loyal customers. Homeowners and business owners wanted the same level of trust, quality, and durability applied to their concrete surfaces. To meet this need, Eric and Chad united their expertise to launch Russell Coatings Co.
Today, Russell Coatings Co. brings over four decades of family-owned home improvement experience to a new trade. We transform garages, basements, patios, and commercial spaces with premium, highly durable floor coatings. We approach every concrete project with the exact same standard of excellence that Bill Russell established over 40 years ago.
Chad Russell
Chad Russell brings decades of experience and a strong family legacy to Russell Coatings Co. Raised in the painting industry, he learned the values of quality workmanship, integrity, and customer service from his father, who founded Russell Painting in 1978.
After taking ownership of the family business in 2018, Chad expanded into specialized concrete coating systems, helping homeowners and businesses transform their concrete surfaces with durable, high-quality solutions.
Today, Chad and his brother Eric proudly continue the family tradition, delivering exceptional results and building lasting relationships with customers across Indiana.
Eric Russell
Eric Russell brings more than 30 years of leadership and industry experience to Russell Coatings Co. After working in the family painting business, he graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and built expertise in estimating, project management, marketing, and customer service.
As owner of Russell Painting Company since 2006, Eric has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality work and building lasting customer relationships. At Russell Coatings Co., he is committed to helping homeowners and businesses transform their concrete with durable, premium coating systems while upholding the family values of quality, integrity, and professionalism.
Eric believes every project should be completed with clear communication, respect for the customer's property, and craftsmanship that stands the test of time.
